NMAA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
Since 2007, over 465 students at approximately 135 NMAA member schools have been awarded scholarships to attend colleges or universities of their choice. It is one of the missions of the NMAA Foundation to support graduating seniors who have excelled in athletics, activities, academics, and sportsmanship in furthering their academic endeavors. The NMAA Foundation has distributed an additional
$88,000 in Together We Rise Scholarships over the last five school years. In total, $304,500 was awarded to 266 New Mexico Students over that time. With the already established annual scholarships and these additional Together We Rise Scholarships, the NMAA Foundation will distribute approximately $82,500 to the youth of our state this school year.

The NMAA Foundation awards approximately 70 scholarships each year. There is no separate application process for the at-large scholarships, including the Together We Rise Scholarships; recipients for these will be selected from the pool of students who apply for any of the scholarships that require an application. Compete with Class Scholarship recipients will be chosen by the NMAA Foundation Board based on recommendations from the NMAA and its member schools - no application is required. The scholarship application portal will open on November 17, 2025, and will remain open through January 15, 2026. Students are encouraged to begin the application process early to ensure all materials are submitted before the deadline.
For questions about the application process, please contact Julie Sanchez at the NMAA Foundation via email at julie@nmact.org.
